A resistive heater (34, 334) within the enclosure (36, 436) is activated based upon a sensed temperature within the enclosure (36, 436). L'invention porte sur un appareil et sur un procédé de détection sismique géologique, lequel appareil renferme une batterie (28, 328) à l'intérieur d'une enceinte isolée (36, 436), et utilise de la chaleur émise à partir d'un matériau émetteur de chaleur non alimenté (30, 430) à l'intérieur de l'enceinte isolée (36, 436).
