La présente invention concerne des polypeptides ayant une activité cétol-acide réductoisomérase, ainsi que des cellules hôtes microbiennes comprenant de tels polypeptides. Les polypeptides présentés ici peuvent être utilisés dans des voies de biosynthèse, comprenant, mais sans y être limitées, des voies de biosynthèse d'isobutanol.
