The device comprises: an image collecting unit, used for collecting an image of a substrate (2) that is attached with a polarizing plate (1) and is to be detected, and parsing the image to obtain the value of a distance from the polarizing plate (1) to the edge of the substrate (2); and a precision detection control unit, connected to the image collecting unit, and used for comparing the distance value with a preset standard value range, and issuing an alarm if the distance value is beyond the preset standard value range.
