ACTUATOR

An actuator comprising a housing 100 for a motor assembly including a rotatable motor pinion 202 and a stator 204, a gear assembly 400 including rotatable first 410, second 412, and third gears 414, and a sensor assembly 300. The motor pinion 202 and the second gear 412 are both mounted to the same shaft 402 in the housing 100. The first gear 410 is coupled to both the motor pinion 202 and the second gear 412 and the third gear 414 is coupled to the second gear 412 and defines an aperture 462 adapted to receive the rotatable shaft of a vehicle part. In one embodiment, the third gear 414 is a sector gear and a pair of washers 468, 470 and a bushing 472 mount the sector gear for rotation in the housing 100.
