ADHESIVE APPLICATOR

An adhesive applicator comprising: (iv) an elongate tubular body having a first open end and an opposed, second end, (v) a rod of adhesive material located within the tubular body, said rod being axially moveable along the body so that a free end of the rod is able to travel relatively past the first end of the body, and for said rod being retainable at a selected axial position, and (vi) an applicator head mounted on the first end of the body, wherein the head is axially moveable relative to the body and has a mouth configured as a transverse slot into which the edge of a sheet material may be inserted, said mouth having a roof surface between which and the free end of the rod the edge of the paper may be held, and the head has a pressure applicator to which pressure may be applied to effect movement of the head relatively towards the second end of the body; wherein the applicator head is completely removable from the body; and wherein the applicator head is configured to act as a closure for the first end of the applicator body. La présente invention se rapporte à un applicateur d'adhésif qui comprend : (iv) un corps tubulaire allongé qui présente une première extrémité ouverte et une seconde extrémité opposée; (v) une tige de matériau adhésif située à l'intérieur du corps tubulaire, ladite tige étant mobile axialement le long du corps de telle sorte qu'une extrémité libre de la tige puisse se déplacer relativement au-delà de la première extrémité du corps et que ladite tige puisse être retenue à une position axiale sélectionnée; et (vi) une tête d'applicateur montée sur la première extrémité du corps, la tête étant mobile axialement par rapport au corps et comprenant un orifice réalisé sous la forme d'une ouverture transversale dans laquelle le bord d'un matériau de feuille peut être inséré, ledit orifice présentant une surface supérieure entre laquelle l'extrémité libre de la tige et le bord du papier peuvent être maintenus, et la tête comprenant un applicateur de pression auquel une pression peut être appliquée pour effectuer un mouvement de la tête relativement vers la seconde extrémité du corps; la tête de l'applicateur pouvant être retirée complètement du corps; et la tête de l'applicateur étant configurée pour faire office de fermeture pour la première extrémité du corps d'applicateur.
