Zusammenfassung: | In its assembled state, the road utility vehicle according to the invention possesses power sources known per se, front and rear running gears, wheels, a drive train, body, and at its front wall has installed all components required for steering, and also comprises systems for control, communications, heating, ventilation, air condition as well as information technology systems. The integral body-frame of the vehicle consists of self-contained load-bearing units, made from a respective continuous length of material in a closed ring-shaped fashion, and arranged perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, implemented as a front module (I) encompassing the front wheel arch (7), a rear module (IV) encompassing the rear wheel arch (13), and an arbitrary number of window modules (II) and door modules (III) arranged between the front and rear modules in an arbitrary order, where the modules are connected by adhesive bonding in a manner known per se in a positioned fashion by a groove (22) and a connecting profile (23) disposed along their respective adjacent circumferential edges located at planes perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the body. The modules (l-IV) are made from a composite material having a matrix reinforced with a fabric of reinforcing filaments laid in specific cases in multiple layers, the space enclosed by the external shell (20) and internal shell (19) being filled by an inertia-increasing core material (21) to form a sandwich structure.
