DETECTION METHOD OF DRUGS FOR TREATMENT OF EPILEPTIC SEIZURES, INFANTILE CONVULSION AND FACIAL SPASM

A detection method of drugs for treatment of epileptic seizures, infantile convulsion and facial spasm. The method comprises identifying red salvia root in the drug by using thin layer chromatography. Conditions of the thin layer chromatography comprise: a silica gel G thin layer plate, and a mixture of a solution A and a solution B at a volume ratio of 2 to 6:0.5 to 2 as a development agent. The solution A is selected from a petroleum ether having a boiling range of 60°C to 90°C, a petroleum ether having a boiling range of 30°C to 60°C, ethyl ether, cyclohexane, toluene and benzene. The solution B is selected from ethyl acetate, ethyl formate, acetone, chloroform and methanol. The detection method has high sensitivity and good repeatability.
