Zusammenfassung:	A dropped payment file is obtained at a computing device of an operator of an electronic funds transfer bill payment system from a client of such system. The dropped payment file includes data associated with at least one unsuccessful attempt to match payment data to a corresponding biller. The data in the dropped payment file is cleaned to create an updated dropped payment file. Matching logic is applied to the updated dropped payment file to identify at least one recommended biller to which the payment data should likely have been routed to. The client is advised of the at least one recommended biller. Selon l'invention, un fichier de paiement abandonné est obtenu au niveau d'un dispositif informatique d'un opérateur d'un système de paiement de facture de transfert de fonds électronique à partir d'un client d'un tel système. Le fichier de paiement abandonné comprend des données associées à au moins une tentative non réussie de mettre en correspondance des données de paiement avec un facturier correspondant. Les données dans le fichier de paiement abandonné sont supprimées pour créer un fichier de paiement abandonné mis à jour. Une logique de mise en correspondance est appliquée au fichier de paiement abandonné mis à jour pour identifier au moins un facturier recommandé vers lequel les données de paiement devraient probablement avoir été routées. Le client est conseillé quant au ou aux facturiers recommandés.
