DEVICES, METHODS, AND GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACES FOR DOCUMENT MANIPULATION

An electronic device displays at least a portion of an electronic document with a predefined page layout at a first magnification level on a display; detects a first input indicating a first insertion point in the document, where the first insertion point is proximate to a first portion of text in the document; and in response to detecting the first input: selects a second magnification level different from the first magnification level, where the second magnification level is selected so as to display the first portion of text at a target text display size, and, while maintaining the predefined page layout of the document, displays, at the second magnification level, a portion of the document that includes the first portion of text. Selon l'invention, un dispositif électronique affiche au moins une partie d'un document électronique avec une mise en page prédéfinie à un premier niveau d'agrandissement sur un dispositif d'affichage ; détecte une première entrée indiquant un premier point d'insertion dans le document, le premier point d'insertion étant à proximité d'une première partie de texte dans le document ; et en réponse à la détection de la première entrée : sélectionne un second niveau d'agrandissement différent du premier niveau d'agrandissement, le second niveau d'agrandissement étant sélectionné de façon à afficher la première partie de texte à une dimension d'affichage de texte cible, et, tout en conservant la mise en page prédéfinie du document, affiche, au second niveau d'agrandissement, une partie du document qui comprend la première partie de texte.
