Zusammenfassung:	An apparatus and method for achieving low temperature vapor sterilization of objects which may involve objects having a lumen. Following evacuation of the sterilization chamber and the introduction of a vaporous or gaseous sterilant, the volume of the chamber is changed by actuation of a movable boundary in the chamber to increase and decrease the pressure in the chamber thus driving the sterilant into and out of such lumens. L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé permettant de stériliser à la vapeur à basse température des objets, qui peuvent comprendre des objets possédant une lumière. Après avoir fait le vide dans l'enceinte de stérilisation et introduit un agent stérilisant en phase vapeur ou gazeuse, on fait varier le volume de l'enceinte en agissant sur une cloison mobile à l'intérieur de l'enceinte afin d'augmenter et diminuer la pression dans l'enceinte et de forcer ainsi l'agent stérilisant à pénétrer dans les lumières et à en sortir.
