L'invention concerne un système et un procédé qui permettent le déplacement en translation de dents, le long d'un fil métallique pour arc, qui utilisent des brackets ayant des dimensions plus grandes et variables de sorte que des bras de levier plus grands soient possibles, réduisant ainsi le besoin d'une pression excessive et réduisant les occasions de rotation de dents excessive qui accompagne le déplacement en translation de dents.
