Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to measuring technology, more specifically to instruments for monitoring the amount of hydrocarbons in the atmosphere. The gas analyzer contains an optical unit (1), inside which a channel (4) for the passage of infrared radiation is provided from the inlet (2) of the optical unit towards the outlet (3) thereof, a control unit (5) connected to the inlet (2) and the outlet (3) of the optical unit (1), and a source (6) of infrared radiation situated at the inlet of the optical unit (1), as well as an infrared radiation detector (7) situated at the outlet of the unit (1), said detector being in the form of a fast-acting differential photovoltaic detector with a filter/mirror (10), the pass and reflectance spectra of which are correlated with the absorption spectrum of the gas being measured and the emission spectrum of the source (6) of infrared radiation respectively. The gas analyzer provides the following technical results: high sensitivity and minimal energy consumption. The optical unit (1) of the gas analyzer comprises an internal channel (4) for the passage of infrared radiation, a source (6) of infrared radiation situated at the inlet of the channel (4), and an infrared radiation detector (7) situated at the outlet of the channel. The channel (4) is in the form of a multiway mirrored optical dish capable of concentrating the infrared radiation passed therethrough from the inlet, along the channel and at the outlet thereof onto the detector (7) of this radiation, and the source (6) of infrared radiation is a fast-acting pulsed light-emitting diode which generates infrared radiation directed at a concentrator situated in the dish. The optical unit (1) of the gas analyzer provides the following technical results: a high infrared radiation transmission coefficient, minimal dispersion of the energy of the radiation from the source thereof to the detector thereof, and small dimensions.
