L'invention concerne une presse d'impression rotative comportant un cylindre central (12) d'impression et une pluralité de groupes couleur (A-J) disposés à sa périphérie, chaque groupe couleur comprenant un cylindre (18) d'impression prévu pour être appliqué contre le cylindre central (12) d'impression et portant un repère (36) de référence apposé à la surface périphérique, la presse d'impression comprenant en outre un détecteur (52) servant à détecter le repère (36) de référence, caractérisée en ce que le détecteur (52) est disposé à la surface périphérique du cylindre central (12) d'impression.
