CONTROL LINE PROTECTION

A control line protector for use with a tubing string, e.g. production tubing having at least one control line on an outer surface thereof is disclosed. The control line protector comprises a sleeve having a cylindrical rigid outer wall, the sleeve being locatable around the tubing string and the at least one control line, and a polymeric sealing element disposed, in use, between an inner surface of the outer wall of the sleeve and the tubing string, operable to substantially seal the space between the outer wall of the sleeve and the tubing string. L'invention concerne un dispositif de protection de ligne de commande utilisé avec une colonne de production, par exemple une colonne de production dotée d'au moins une ligne de commande sur sa surface extérieure. Le dispositif de protection de ligne de commande comprend un manchon constitué d'une paroi extérieure rigide cylindrique, ledit manchon pouvant être disposé autour de la colonne de production et de la ligne de commande, et un élément d'étanchéité polymère disposé, lors de l'utilisation, entre la surface intérieure de la paroi extérieure du manchon et la colonne de production, fonctionnant afin de rendre sensiblement étanche l'espace entre la paroi extérieure du manchon et la colonne de production.
