Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a device enabling arithmetic calculations, said device being characterized in that it includes a series of basic parts (1) that are hinged together by means of connection mechanisms enabling a relative angular movement of each basic part (1) relative to an adjacent basic part (1) so as to enable each basic part (1) to take a predetermined number of positions that each correspond to at least one of the surfaces of said device. Said device is also characterized in that each of said surfaces comprises a separate pattern (3). L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant de procéder à des calculs arithmétiques, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend une succession de pièces élémentaires (1) articulées les unes aux autres au moyen de mécanismes de liaison permettant un mouvement angulaire relatif de chaque pièce élémentaire (1) par rapport à une pièce élémentaire adjacente (1), de façon à permettre à chacune des pièces élémentaires (1) de prendre un nombre déterminé de positions associées chacune à au moins l'une de ses faces; et en ce que chacune de ces dites faces comporte un motif distinct (3).
