DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DELIVERING MEDICINE INTO THE TYMPANIC CAVITY

A device for substance delivery to and/or extraction from the tympanic cavity, comprising: a housing, having a distal surface, a proximal surface that is opposite to the distal surface, and a circumscribed surface that connects the distal surface and the proximal surface; at least one piercing element having at least one proximal piercing end and at least one distal piercing end, disposed within the housing in such manner that the at least one distal piercing end is/are generally facing the distal surface of the housing; and a means for flexing the tympanic membrane toward the distal end of the at least one piercing element. Le dispositif ci-décrit permet d'administrer et/ou d'extraire une substance de la caisse du tympan, et comprend : un boîtier, ayant une surface distale, une surface proximale qui est à l'opposé de la surface distale, et une surface circonscrite qui relie la surface distale et la surface proximale; au moins un élément de perçage ayant au moins une extrémité de perçage proximale et au moins une extrémité de perçage distale, logé à l'intérieur du boîtier de telle manière que ladite au moins extrémité de perçage distale fait, généralement, face à la surface distale du boîtier; et un moyen pour faire fléchir la membrane du tympan vers l'extrémité distale dudit au moins élément de perçage.
