URINARY FUNCTION MEASURING DEVICE FOR ANIMAL AND URINARY FUNCTION MEASURING METHOD FOR ANIMAL

Disclosed are a urinary function measuring device for animals and a urinary function measuring method for animals capable of sampling the amount of animal urine with high accuracy. Specifically disclosed is a urinary function measuring device which comprises an accommodating unit that accommodates an animal other than humans; a collecting unit that is disposed below the accommodating unit and collects urine discharged by the animal in the accommodating unit; a reticulated unit that is disposed below the accommodating unit, allows passage of the urine of the animal to the collecting unit, and collects objects other than the urine; a measuring unit that measures the weight of the urine collected by the collecting unit; and a data recording unit that records the data measured by the measuring unit. The diameter of the net of the reticulated unit is less than or equal to 0.5 mm, and the size of the mesh of the reticulated unit is more than or equal to 1 mm2 and less than or equal to the maximum mesh size determined by at least either the excretions of the animal accommodated in the accommodating unit or a predetermined object used for accommodating the animal in the accommodating unit.
