A method of application of an epoxy layer prior to application of the polymer emulsion to provide a corrosion resistant layer beneath the cementitious coating and then applying a xylene sealant to the cementitious coating. L'invention concerne un revêtement pour ponts métalliques de navires qui fournit une résistance aux dérapages et une protection contre la corrosion en utilisant une émulsion polymère et une couche d'agrégat sur une couche d'époxy et en étanchéifiant l'émulsion polymère et la couche d'agrégat avec du xylène. L'invention concerne également un procédé d'application d'une couche d'époxy avant l'application de l'émulsion polymère pour fournir une couche résistante à la corrosion sous le revêtement de ciment, puis l'application d'un agent d'étanchéité à base de xylène sur le revêtement de ciment.
