L'invention porte sur un procédé et un appareil pour un fil chargé d'abrasif. Dans un mode de réalisation, un fil revêtu par un abrasif est décrit. Le fil comprend un fil d'âme ayant un motif symétrique de particules abrasives couplé à une surface externe du fil d'âme, et un film diélectrique recouvrant des parties du fil d'âme entre les particules abrasives.
