METHOD FOR FORMING AN ISOLATING PLUG

The method can be used in oil and gas production, in particular for sealing fractures in the area around a well when removing hydraulic fracturing liquid, and also for sealing other types of fractures and cracks in the casing. In order to produce an isolating plug, a trap is arranged upstream from the location at which the plug is formed, the trap preventing a passage of fibres and enabling the forming of fibre aggregates. Liquid with fibres dispersed therein is pumped into the well, and the trap is periodically opened, liberating the fibre aggregates and ensuring that said aggregates flow freely to the location at which the plug is formed. Le procédé de la présente invention peut être utilisé dans l'industrie de l'extraction de gaz et de pétrole, notamment afin d'obstruer des fissures dans la région proche de la tête du puits lors de l'évacuation d'un fluide de fracturation, ainsi que pour divers types de fissures et de ramifications dans un tubage. Afin de former un bouchon isolant, on dispose un piège en amont de l'endroit de formation du bouchon, ce piège empêchant le passage de fibres et permettant à des agrégats de fibres de se former. On pompe ensuite dans le puits un liquide comprenant des fibres dispersantes, et on ouvre périodiquement le piège afin de libérer des agrégats de fibres et leur permettre de se déplacer librement vers l'endroit de formation du bouchon.
