L'invention concerne un procédé amélioré de préparation de la toltérodine ou ses sels, comprenant une étape consistant à réduire l'acide 3-(2-méthoxy-5-méthylphényl) -3-phényle propionique de formule (III) en présence d'un réducteur, d'un réactif acide et d'un solvant pour obtenir du propanol 3-(2-méthoxy-5-méthylphényl) -3-phényle.
