Zusammenfassung:	A method and apparatus for a seismic cable is described. In one embodiment, the seismic cable includes a first cable segment and a second cable segment coupled together by a connector. Each cable segment includes an inner jacket defining a hollow core, a braided strength fiber surrounding the inner jacket, and an outer jacket circumferentially surrounding the braided strength fiber, wherein the connector isolates the first and second cable segments. L'invention porte sur un procédé et sur un appareil pour câble sismique. Dans un mode de réalisation, le câble sismique comprend un premier segment de câble et un second segment de câble couplés l'un à l'autre par l'intermédiaire d'un raccord. Chaque segment de câble comporte une enveloppe intérieure définissant une âme creuse, une fibre résistante tressée entourant l'enveloppe intérieure et une enveloppe extérieure entourant la fibre résistante tressée de manière circonférentielle, le raccord permettant d'isoler les premier et second segments de câble.
