Zusammenfassung:	A blade removal mechanism is moveable between a first position and a second position for engaging a band saw blade. The blade removal mechanism includes a first member for positioning adjacent a blade-receiving space of the band saw, the first member engageable with the band saw blade when the blade removal mechanism is in the second position. The mechanism also includes an actuator coupled to the first member for transmitting movement to the first member and a biasing member for biasing the actuator and the first member to the first position and away from the band saw blade. L'invention concerne un mécanisme de retrait de lame, mobile entre une première position et une seconde position pour venir en prise avec une lame de scie à ruban. Le mécanisme de retrait de lame comprend un premier élément conçu pour un positionnement adjacent à un espace de réception de lame de la scie à ruban, le premier élément pouvant venir en prise avec la lame de scie à ruban lorsque le mécanisme de retrait de lame est dans la seconde position. Le mécanisme comprend également un actionneur accouplé au premier élément afin de transmettre un mouvement au premier élément et un élément de sollicitation afin de solliciter l'actionneur et le premier élément vers la première position et à distance de la lame de scie à ruban.
