Zusammenfassung: | The inventive hydrocarbon and lipid sorbent comprises a fine water-absorbing material, the surface of grains of which is modified with organosilicon compounds, which sorbent differs in that siloxane fragments of general formula I, wherein : R: O; Ra: CH3, O-; Rb: CH3, H; Rc: CH3, O-; n < 50, are fixed as modifying organosilicon compounds to the surface of the fine material grains. The inventive sorbent producing method involves modifying the fine material grains by means of an organosilicon fluid selected form the group comprising: solutions of hydride-siloxane fluids in nonpolar solvents, aqueous emulsions of hydride-siloxane fluids and aqueous solutions of alkali metal siliconates, wherein the modification is carried out by gradually loading and stirring the sorbent in a reactor at a temperature of 20-500°C for 15-60 minutes at a stirrer rotational speed providing a turbulency mode, and by subsequent drying for 3-4 hours at a temperature of 150±25°C, the rotational speed being selected with the condition that Re=2 000oe2 000, wherein Re is the Reynolds number. The invention makes it possible to reduce the production cost, to chemically process the material in one stage, to decrease the water absorpion to 5% of the initial water absorption of the raw material grains, i.e., to increase the hydrophobic behaviour thereof, and to reduce the time of the sorbent bonding with extracted substances.
