MULTIPLE RADIO INSTANCES USING SOFTWARE DEFINED RADIO

In a first aspect an exemplary embodiment of the invention provides a method that includes instantiating a plurality of radio protocols, operating the plurality of radio protocols with an underlying physical layer, where each instantiation of a same radio protocol is embodied in a same code module and where each instantiation has associated data stored in a memory. The operating of the plurality of radio protocols comprises executing each instantiation of the radio protocols so that a portion of resources are shared between different instantiations of the radio protocols and different instantiations of radio protocols do not interfere with each other. Dans un premier aspect, un mode de réalisation exemplaire de l'invention concerne un procédé qui consiste à instancier une pluralité de protocoles radio, à mettre en oevre la pluralité de protocoles radio avec une couche physique sous-jacente, chaque instanciation d'un même protocole radio étant formulée dans un même module de code et chaque instanciation ayant des données associées enregistrées dans une mémoire. La mise en oevre de la pluralité de protocoles radio consiste à exécuter chaque instanciation de protocoles radio afin qu'une partie des ressources soit partagée entre les différentes instanciations des protocoles radio et que les différentes instanciations des protocoles radio n'interfèrent pas l'une avec l'autre.
