METHOD FOR PREPARING PIPES FOR REUSE

The invention relates to building pipeline transportation means, in particular to pipes dismantled from main gas pipelines during the overhaul repair of the linear portion thereof. Said invention also relates to resource-saving technologies making it possible to reuse pipes also for the subsequent mounting of the linear portion of main pipelines. The inventive method involves carrying out, according to geometrical parameters or corrosion wear degree, the primary sorting of faced or not faced insulated or not insulated pipes, which are dismantled during the overhaul repair of the pipeline or those the date of manufacture of which exceeds one year, machining the end faces of the not faced pipes, marking and additionally examining the pipes, sending the pipes with repairable defects for the preparation for reuse, carrying out the restoring repair and the quality inspection thereof, preparing the outer surface of the pipes to be insulated, inspecting the thus prepared surface of the pipes, insulating the outer surface of the pipes, marking the tubes suitable for reuse and issuing the quality certificate for the reusable pipes, wherein the pipes condemned during inspection, certification and repair as unreusableduring the overhaul repair of the during the overhaul repair of the during the overhaul repair of the are rejected and are subsequently used in process pipeline networks, for example in water-supply systems, as construction elements, for example piers, or are recycled as scrap metal.
