METHODS, APPARATUSES AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR AUTOMATIC DOWNLOAD OF SOFTWARE DEPENDENCIES ON INSTALLATION

A device for automatically downloading an application package is provided. The application package that is downloaded contains a dependency manager, a configuration file and other application files. During installation of the application package the dependency manager is started automatically and is capable of reading data in the configuration file contained within the application package. The dependency manager is further capable of comparing information relating to required components in the file with required components in the device and determining if any required components are missing or whether a newer version of the required components in the device are required. In this regard, the dependency manager is further capable of generating a request for a required component(s) that is missing or is not up-to-date and downloading the missing or outdated required component(s) from a server. The dependency manager is further capable of installing the downloaded required component(s) in the device. Le logiciel d'application téléchargé contient un gestionnaire de dépendances, un fichier de configuration et d'autres fichiers d'application. Pendant l'installation du logiciel d'application, le gestionnaire de dépendances est démarré automatiquement et est capable de lire les données dans le fichier de configuration contenu dans le logiciel d'application. Le gestionnaire de dépendances est en outre capable de comparer les informations concernant les composants requis dans le fichier avec les composants requis dans le dispositif et de déterminer si des composants requis sont absents ou si une version plus récente des composants requis dans le dispositif est nécessaire. A cet égard, le gestionnaire de dépendances est en outre capable de générer une demande pour un ou des composants requis qui sont absents ou qui ne sont pas à jour et de télécharger le ou les composants requis manquants ou qui ne sont pas à jour à partir d'un serveur. Le gestionnaire de dépendances est en outre capable d'installer le ou les composants requis téléchargés dans le dispositif.
