The invention further relates to a process for the production of butanol and the use of butanol obtainable by the process according to the present invention as a chemical or as a fuel. La présente invention concerne une cellule de levure capable de produire du butanol, qui comprend une séquence de nucléotides qui code pour une butyryl-CoA déshydrogénase et au moins une séquence de nucléotides qui code pour une flavoprotéine de transfert d'électron. L'invention concerne également un procédé de production de butanol et l'utilisation du butanol qui peut être obtenu par le procédé selon la présente invention en tant que produit chimique ou combustible.
