EXTENSION COUPLING FOR INTERCONNECTING TRAILER AND TOW HITCH

An extension coupling for interconnecting a trailer to a tow hitch carried on a tow vehicle includes a pin box assembly having a first end and a second end. The first end is pivotally connected to the trailer. A king pin is connected to the second end. The pin box assembly includes a locking wedge that engages the tow hitch to strictly limit pivoting movement of the pin box assembly relative to the tow hitch. La présente invention concerne un accouplement à extension destiné à interconnecter une remorque et un crochet d'attelage de remorquage porté sur un véhicule tracteur comportant un ensemble mâle et femelle présentant une première extrémité et une seconde extrémité. La première extrémité est raccordée de manière pivotante à la remorque. Un pivot d'attelage est raccordé à la seconde extrémité. L'ensemble mâle et femelle comporte un coin de blocage qui se met en prise avec le crochet d'attelage de remorquage pour limiter de manière stricte le déplacement pivotant de l'ensemble mâle femelle par rapport au crochet d'attelage de remorquage.
