WATER REMOVAL ELEMENT AND USE OF METAL LIST IN THE WATER REMOVAL ELEMENT

Invention relates to a water removal element (1) of a fibre web machine, which water removal element includes a water removal list (2) and a loading part (3). The water removal list which is in the free end (4) of the water removal element and which has a symmetrical form can be loaded and/or moved against a level of a wire by means of the loading part in the vertical, in other words in the CD direction towards the wire. In that case the free forehead surface of the water removal list will serve as the wearing surface (21). According to the invention, the water removal element (1) comprises the water removal list (2) which is essentially machine-wide and uniform. A plated metal list (23) which is against the wire serves as an abrasive wearing surface (21, 22)of the water removal list (2). The metal list has been plated at least from its two symmetrical pages (21, 22) to accomplish at least two wearing surfaces (21, 22).One wearing surface is used from the wearing surfaces at a time. An object of the invention is also a water removal list (2) to be used in a water removal element (1).the water removal list comprises at least one wearing surface (21, 22) and side surfaces (24, 25) which are provided with locking grooves(7, 8; 71, 81)for fastening the water removal list to the water removal element. According to the Invention, at least a body of the water removal list (2) is composed of the metal list (23).
