The subject technologies can be used in the treatment of atherosclerosis in stenting procedures or be used in variety of other procedures. The systems can employ a self expanding stent restrained by one or more members released by an electrolytically erodable latch. L'invention concerne des dispositifs et des procédés médicaux permettant de poser ou d'implanter des prothèses à l'intérieur d'organes creux, de vaisseaux ou d'autres lumières anatomiques. Les technologies selon l'invention peuvent être utilisées dans des techniques de pose d'endoprothèses pour traiter l'athérosclérose ou dans diverses autres techniques. Ces systèmes peuvent prévoir une endoprothèse auto-déployable retenue par un ou plusieurs éléments libérés par une attache à érosion électrolytique.
