Zusammenfassung:	Foundry media having a low surface porosity and methods for producing the media are disclosed. One method includes minimizing a moisture content of the media prior to sintering the media, which minimized moisture content minimized the surface porosity of the sintered media. The media can be coated with resin, and a mold made therefrom. The media requires less resin than conventional media because of the low porosity, and stronger molds can be made from the media. L'invention concerne des produits de fonderie présentant une faible porosité superficielle et des procédés de fabrication des produits. Un procédé consiste à réduire la teneur en humidité des produits avant le frittage des produits, ladite teneur en humidité réduite ayant pour effet de réduire la porosité superficielle des produits frittés. Les produits peuvent être revêtus de résine, et un moule peut être réalisé à partir de ceux-ci. Les produits exigent moins de résine que les produits conventionnels du fait de la faible porosité, et l'on peut réaliser des moules plus solides à partir desdits produits.
