The clamshells and the turban shells are recycled into household products such as flowerpots and decorations, which have an aesthetic appearance and have practical usefulness. Les coquille de coquillages, huîtres, clams, sabots, et autres, rejetées en grande quantité par les restaurants de fruits de mer sont des déchets non traitables ne pouvant servir ni d'aliments ni de compost, ni être incinérés. Elles peuvent néanmoins être recyclés en produits domestiques tels que des pots de fleurs, des décorations, etc, à la fois esthétiques et pratiques.
