SYSTEMS, METHODS, ADN DEVICES FOR INJECTING MEDIA CONTRAST

A system for delivering a contrast medium to a treatment site including a delivery device, and a portable power injector. The delivery device includes a guidewire lumen and a contrast injection lumen, the guidewire lumen and contrast injection lumen being at least partially coaxial. The portable power injector includes an injector body and is configured to contain a contrast medium. The injector body has a plunger disposed therein. The portable power injector also includes a pressure generator, the pressure generator being configured to apply a pressure to the plunger to drive the contrast medium from the injector body and through a distal end of the contrast injection lumen. La présente invention concerne un système pour fournir un milieu de contraste à un site de traitement comportant un dispositif de distribution, et un injecteur sous pression portatif. Le dispositif de distribution comporte un passage de fil-guide et un passage d'injection de contraste, le passage de fil-guide et le passage de contraste étant au moins en partie coaxiaux. L'injecteur sous pression portatif comporte un corps d'injecteur et est configuré pour contenir un milieu de contraste. Le corps d'injecteur renferme un piston. Le corps d'injecteur sous pression comporte également un générateur de pression, le générateur de pression étant configuré pour appliquer une pression au piston pour entraîner le milieu de contraste depuis le corps d'injecteur et à travers une extrémité distale du passage d'injection de contraste.
