The system and method may be used to operate a variety of equipment, such as welders, cutters, tools and so forth. In some embodiments, the system and method may include receiving an input signal and configuring circuitry to output power with a given polarity based on the input signal. La présente invention concerne, dans certains modes de réalisation, un dispositif et un procédé permettant de régler une polarité de sortie selon une opération choisie. Le dispositif et le procédé peuvent servir à utiliser une variété de matériel, tel que des machines à souder, des fraises, des outils, etc. Dans certains modes de réalisation, le procédé peut consister à recevoir un signal d'entrée et à configurer un circuit pour fournir une alimentation avec une polarité donnée selon le signal d'entrée.
