It also relates to a composition, in particular an edible composition, comprising molecules extracted from the mother-of-pearl. The edible composition according to the invention is more particularly intended to promote bone stock maintenance, skin moisturization and/or epidermal and dermal restructuring. La présente invention concerne des molécules extraites de la nacre de mollusques et leur procédé d'extraction. Elle concerne également une composition, en particulier comestible, comprenant des molécules extraites de la nacre. La composition comestible selon l'invention est plus particulièrement destinée à favoriser le maintien du capital osseux, l'hydratation de la peau et/ou la restructuration de l'épiderme et du derme.
