ADAPTIVE MODULATOR AND METHOD OF OPERATING SAME

Disclosed herein is a modulator module that uses a radio receiver to search the broadcast band for an unoccupied area (i.e., unutilized spectrum) where a modulator can transmit without interference. Additionally, it automatically adjusts the modulator and car radio to the same frequency within one of the unoccupied areas to exploit the free spectrum. The system further provides a hands-free approach to using a modulator in a vehicle by automatically adjusting both the modulator and car radio to the same frequency without manual intervention from the user.
