A stereomicroscope includes: an observation optical unit (10) having a zoom optical system (501) capable of modifying zoom degree and an objective lens (6) optically connected to the zoom optical system (501) and receiving an observation light emitted from a sample (2); an illumination unit (7) for emitting an illumination light for illuminating the sample (2); a near coaxial incident light illumination optical system having a reflection mirror (13) inserted into the observation optical unit (10) and out of the optical path of the zoom optical system (501) and applying an illumination light to the sample (2) via the reflection mirror and the objective lens (6). La présente invention concerne un microscope stéréoscopique qui inclut : une unité optique d'observation (10) comprenant un système optique de zoom (501) en mesure de modifier le degré de zoom et une lentille de focalisation (6) connectée optiquement au système optique de zoom (501) et recevant une lumière d'observation émise à partir d'un échantillon (2) ; une unité d'éclairage (7) pour émettre une lumière d'éclairage afin d'éclairer l'échantillon (2) ; un système optique d'éclairage par lumière incidente quasi coaxiale comportant un miroir de réflexion (13) inséré dans l'unité optique d'observation (10) et en dehors du trajet optique du système optique de zoom (501) et appliquant une lumière d'éclairage sur l'échantillon (2) par l'intermédiaire du miroir de réflexion et de la lentille de focalisation (6).
