Zusammenfassung:	A method of defining custody information for a product includes generating a pedigree element, combining the pedigree element with a signature to produce an Advanced Pedigree Notice (APN) message, incorporating the pedigree element into an Electronic Product Code (EPC) tag, and applying the EPC tag to a product. The APN message and the product are routed to a distributor. The distributor compares the EPC tag to the APN message to verify the product. L'invention concerne une méthode pour définir des informations de garde destinées à un produit. Cette méthode consiste à générer un élément de traçage, à combiner cet élément de traçage à une signature pour produire un message de notification de traçage avancé (APN), à intégrer l'élément de traçage dans un marquage de code de produit électronique (EPC), et à appliquer le marquage EPC sur un produit.
