Zusammenfassung:	A display is switchable between a first display mode with a first viewing angle range, a second display mode having a second viewing angle range smaller than the first viewing angle range and a multiple view directional display mode. The display comprises an image display layer (2) and a control element (8) that is switchable between a first state in which it co-operates with the image display layer (2) to provide the first display mode, a second state in which it co-operates with the image display layer (2) to provide the second display mode, and a third state in which it co-operates with the image display layer (2) to provide the multiple view directional display mode. Selon l'invention, un affichage peut être commuté entre un premier mode d'affichage possédant une première portée d'angle de visualisation, un second mode d'affichage possédant une seconde portée d'angle de visualisation inférieure à ladite première portée et un mode d'affichage directionnel à plusieurs vues. Cet affichage comprend une couche d'affichage d'images (2) et un élément de contrôle (8) qui peut être commuté entre un premier état auquel il coopère avec la couche d'affichage d'images (2) en vue de produire le premier mode d'affichage, un second état auquel il coopère avec la couche d'affichage d'images (2) de manière à produire le second mode d'affichage, et un troisième état, auquel il coopère avec la couche d'affichage d'images (2) en vue de produire le mode d'affichage directionnel à plusieurs vues.
