L'invention concerne une lame de crêpage pourvue d'un corps possédant un bord d'attaque, un bord de traîne et une extrémité de travail pourvue d'une surface de chanfrein. Ladite surface de chanfrein est formée par un bord d'attaque et un bord de traîne, ledit bord de traîne de la lame de crêpage présentant un rayon de bord de traîne supérieur à environ 0,001 pouce (environ 0,0254 mm).
