SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR HEAT REMOVAL

A system for removing heat from an encased electronic device. The system includes a thermal ground, conduction pathways thermally coupling heat-producing elements of the device to the thermal ground so that the thermal ground receives heat produced by the heat-producing elements, and a heat dissipation element thermally coupled to the thermal ground and configured to transfer heat from the thermal ground to an environment outside the device. The conduction pathways and heat dissipation element provide a capacity to remove heat from the encased electronic device such that heat removal by convection from the heat-producing elements is not required. L'invention concerne un système d'évacuation de la chaleur d'un dispositif électronique en boîtier. Ce système comprend un fond thermique, des chemins de conduction couplant thermiquement les éléments produisant de la chaleur du dispositif au fond thermique, de manière que le fond thermique reçoive la chaleur produite par les éléments de production de chaleur, et un élément de dissipation de chaleur couplé thermiquement au fond thermique et configuré pour transférer la chaleur du fond thermique à un environnement extérieur au dispositif. Les voies de conduction et l'élément de dissipation de chaleur assurent une fonction d'évacuation de la chaleur d'un dispositif électronique en boîtier, si bien que l'évacuation de la chaleur par convection des éléments produisant de la chaleur n'est pas nécessaire.
