Zusammenfassung:	Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Anordnung (7) zum Schutz einer elektrischen Einrichtung. Dabei ist die Einrichtung über eine Polklemme (4) an einen Pol (3) einer Batterie (1) angeschlossen. Eine Schutzkontakteinheit (9) besitzt einen Anschlussabschnitt (10), der direkt mit der Polklemme (4) verbunden ist, sowie einen Starthilfe-Kontaktabschnitt (11), der über einen Schalter (12) mit dem Anschlussabschnitt (10) verbunden ist. Eine Auswerteschaltung (15) betätigt den Schalter (12) zum Trennen der elektrischen Verbindung zwischen Starthilfe-Kontaktabschnitt (11) und Anschlussabschnitt (10) sobald die Auswerteschaltung (15) einen Fehlstrom feststellt.
