Zusammenfassung:A piston engine and a method for controlling a diesel-type piston engine comprising at least one combustion chamber formed by a cylinder, a movably arranged piston in each cylinder, which piston is connected to a crankshaft, and an injection device designed to inject fuel directly into said combustion chamber. The object of the inventionis to provide a method and engine by which the thermal efficiency of the internal combustion engine can be increased, whilst the requirements relating to nitrogen oxide and soot particle emissions continue to be maintained. L'invention concerne un moteur à pistons et un procédé permettant de commander un moteur à pistons de type diesel, comprenant au moins une chambre de combustion formée par un cylindre, un piston monté de manière mobile dans chaque cylindre, ce piston étant relié à une manivelle, et un dispositif d'injection conçu pour injecter le carburant directement dans ladite chambre de combustion.
