Zusammenfassung:	A method is provided for determining the dissolution rate of an analyte, which is preferably a pharmaceutically active component in a sustained release dosage form. The method comprises(i) contacting a diluted non-aqueous composition containing the analyte and a non-aqueous base, such as a wax or a fat, with an aqueous dissolution medium for a predetermined time, and (ii) measuring the amount of anaalyte in the aqueous dissolution medium. L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de déterminer la vitesse de dissolution d'un analyte, de préférence un composant pharmaceutiquement actif dans une forme posologique à libération prolongée. Ce procédé consiste (i) à mettre en contact une composition non aqueuse diluée contenant l'analyte et une base non aqueuse, telle qu'une cire ou une graisse, avec un milieu de dissolution aqueux pendant une durée prédéterminée, puis (ii) à mesurer la quantité d'analyte présent dans le milieu de dissolution aqueux.
