Zusammenfassung:	A fireplace including a combustion chamber enclosure with an openng and an inner pane positioned to at least partially cover the opening of the combustion chamber. An outer pane is spaced apart from the inner pane, the outer pane and the inner pane creating a space through which air moves, the air cooling the outer pane. A blower may be provided to move the air through the space. The outer pane may be angled wth respect to the inner pane to enhance air movement. L'invention concerne une cheminée comprenant une enceinte de chambre de combustion présentant une ouverture et un carreau interne positionné de manière à recouvrir au moins partiellement l'ouverture de la chambre de combustion. Un carreau externe est espacé du carreau interne, ceux-ci créant un espace à travers lequel l'air circule et refroidit le carreau externe. Une soufflante peut être prévue pour faire circuler l'air à travers l'espace. Le carreau externe peut être incliné par rapport au carreau interne de manière à améliorer la circulation de l'air.
