Zusammenfassung:	The present invention is a method for generating iridescence on metallic surfaces characterised in that it comprises the use of a biased laser beam which is made incident onto a metallic target surface so that a preset area of said surface is swept or passed by said laser beam with a preset speed and according to a preset path so that the given energy per impacted surface unit is enough to produce a surface material melting with a very limited depth. Procédé permettant de produire l'iridescence sur des surfaces métalliques, qui consiste à utiliser un faisceau laser polarisé incident sur une surface métallique cible, si bien qu'une zone prédéterminée de ladite surface est balayée ou parcourue par ledit faisceau laser à une vitesse prédéterminée et selon un parcours prédéterminé de manière que l'énergie donnée par unité de surface heurtée soit suffisante pour produire une fonte de la matière de surface sur une profondeur très limitée.
