L'invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant de gainer un substrat (32) avec un matériau. Ce procédé consiste à chauffer le substrat (32) à l'aide d'un faisceau à haute énergie (18) et à déposer sur le substrat (32) un matériau de gainage fondu au moyen d'un processus de transfert sans contact avant ou en même temps qu'une zone focale (30) du faisceau à haute énergie (18).
