Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to isolated strains of a Streptomyces spp., which are endophytes of dicotyledonous plants and to methods for selecting such strains. The present invention also relates to compounds having biological activity selected from the group consisting of munumbicin A, munumbicin B, munumbicin C and munumbicin D, kakadumycin A, kakadumycin B, and kakadumycin C. The present invention further relates to compositions of such compounds and to methods of protecting plants against attack by a plant pathogen and methods of inhibiting bacterial growth, fungal growth, viral infection, growth of parasitic organisms, and cancer cell growth with such compositions.
L'invention concerne des souches isolées de Streptomyces spp. qui sont des endophytes des plantes dicotylédones, ainsi que des procédés de sélection de telles souches. L'invention concerne également des composés présentant une activité biologique choisis dans le groupe formé de "munumbicin A", "munumbicin B", "munumbicin C" et "munumbicin D", et de "kakadumycin A", "kakadumycin B" et "kakadumycin C". Elle concerne en outre des compositions de ces composés et des procédés de protection des plantes contre l'attaque d'une plante pathogène et des procédés permettant d'inhiber, à l'aide de telles compositions, la croissance bactérienne et fongique, l'infection virale, la croissance d'organismes parasites et la croissance de cellules cancéreuses. |
