La présente invention concerne de nouvelles amorces utiles pour identifier et cribler une mutation non-sens avec un codon TGG codant l'acide aminé tryptophane substitué avec un TAG, codon non-sens situé au niveau du nucléotide No. 825 dans l'exon 2 du gène de synaptogyrine 1 du chromosome 22q11-13, ce qui permet ainsi de détecter une prédisposition à la schizophrénie chez un sous-ensemble de patients. L'invention concerne également une méthode associée.
